Welcome to my website, designed to share my artistic and personal work, and to offer my professional services.

Whether I'm photographing, writing, painting, or writing songs, Canada, inspires and informs everything I do: its natural beauty, and vastness, its diverse geographies and cultures, its risk-taking arts and incredible people. This place the whole world remarkably calls home is amazing. Now, if only we could revere our first nations peoples and elevate and support all people of colour, and urgently work together to reverse the unfolding disaster of climate change shaking our world, Canada could show true leadership!

My personal and professional work span designing, writing, singing/songwriting, photographing, painting, cooking, gardening, and just making cool stuff. Until recently, I'd managed a leading non-profit music organization, fundraising, overseeing a facility, and helping produce and promote concerts and public events - hundreds over the course of my career. I am now accepting new clients who need consulting and other support for their arts organization, whether strategic, fundraising, website content creation and design, writing (grants, corporate and sales content, marketing), designing (interior home design and graphic design), or events management.

I am thrilled to be nearing completion of my first solo book of poems, My Heart Is About To Break Into A Billion Pieces, for distribution in the Winter, 2024.

I'm also excited to release my debut solo album, Break of Day: Songs for Colin, dedicated to my wonderful late son, Colin Earl Bell, who will forever remain the eternal light of my life. You can sample two of 10 original songs on the album here,

I'm working on a photography exhibit, The Maritime Beach, which you can preview here, an ongoing body of work that explores the beaches of my new province, Nova Scotia, and how their visitors occupy them.

Finally, having recently completed construction on a new cabin on my Nova Scotia property by the sea, I'll be making it available for selective rentals beginning in the Summer of 2024.
